60 thousand children die every year in Russia because the much needed help is not available in time. This horrific statistics shocks the mind. More and more children today are born with congenital heart diseases, arrhythmia and congenital cerebra-vascular pathologies. Innocent lives end before they even have the chance to begin and it is horrifyingly scary. Timely medical intervention could save hundreds of children’s lives. However, complex surgeries, such as an operation performed to correct a congenital heart defect, cost anywhere from one to four thousand dollars and require complex modern technology. It costs seven thousand dollars to place a pacemaker, which is a must for patients with severe arrhythmia. How should the parents of the ill child come up with such money? The time is running out and some of these patients have less than a few months to live.

Life Line is a relatively young charity program, founded in 2004. Its goal is to help severely sick children who are suffering from the life threatening diseases such as: arrhythmia, heart diseases and cerebra-vascular pathologies. The program addresses the real problems – pays for the high-tech surgeries and special devices, which, if employed timely, guarantee full recovery to every sick child. From the time of its inception, Life Line has already saved the lives of over 1000 children residing in various regions and cities of the Russian Federation. Over 5.5 million dollars was collected in contribution, donated by dozens of corporations and hundreds of caring people. The program is evolving and is rapidly gaining momentum. According to the official statistics, more than 10,000 Russian children are in dire need of a life saving surgery each year. To help these children is the ultimate Life Line goal. We would like to remind you that all contributions received by the Life Line are applied towards child healthcare; all administrative costs are covered by a different source. Your help is much needed today and will be greatly appreciated by 216 children who are desperately awaiting a surgery, in hopes that they may soon get better.
